Chiropractic clinics in Singapore: More first visits from patients who aren't sure yet

Most people who message a chiropractor in Singapore are only half sure. Is it safe? How much with the X-ray? Do I have to sign a package? We answer every message in seconds with your real prices, book the first visit, and pass the clinical questions to your chiropractor. Then we bring back the patients who felt better and stopped coming.

Where a chiropractic clinic loses patients

"Is it safe?" asked at 11pm. They've heard the stories about necks. Maybe a friend or a GP told them to see a physio instead. They message you a careful question late at night. If the answer comes tomorrow, or sounds like a sales line, they book somewhere that feels safer.

"How much, with the X-ray?" Patients in Singapore have read about the cheap first visit that turns into an X-ray bill and then a big package. So they ask for the full cost before they come. A vague "come in and we'll see" reads like the start of that story.

"Do I have to buy a package?" Package sales and refunds are a common reason people complain about chiropractors to MOH. Your clinic may offer per-visit prices and never push. The patient doesn't know that until someone tells them, quickly and plainly.

Feeling better, then gone for months. They come in, improve, stop booking, and message again when their back goes out half a year later. Or they message a different clinic. Nobody checked in, because nobody had the time.

The chiropractor is also the front desk. You adjust all day. Between patients you reply on WhatsApp, chase reschedules and try to post something. The messages that wait are the ones from people still deciding.

How Singapore patients pick a chiropractor

There's no government register to check. So before a first visit, these five things decide it.

01Proof you're the real thingWho will treat them, what their qualification is, and whether you belong to the professional association. If you use "Dr", they want to know it means Doctor of Chiropractic.
02The safety question, answered straightWhat happens at the first visit, and that an assessment doesn't have to end in an adjustment. Calm answers win over clever ones.
03The total price up frontFirst visit, the X-ray if there is one, then per visit. Patients ask for all of it before they book.
04No package pressureA per-visit price, and the freedom to stop. People tell each other about the clinics that pushed.
05A reason to choose you over the alternativesThey're weighing you against a physio, a TCM clinic, a massage or their GP. The clinic that explains plainly gets the visit.
The clinic that wins is the one that answers the doubts first. Fast and plain, without the pressure.

The rules on what your clinic can say

Chiropractic has no statutory regulator in Singapore. MOH says it is self-regulated through professional associations, and that the advertising and consumer protection laws still apply. Here's what that means in plain words.

Your clinic can't
✕Advertise that you treat a conditionSection 31A of the Healthcare Services Act. MOH's own example of a breach is a chiropractic clinic saying "We are experienced in treating scoliosis".
✕Use "Dr" on its ownChiropractors aren't medical practitioners. Under section 31B, the qualification goes with the title, plus a line saying it isn't a medical qualification.
✕Pressure someone into a packageUnder consumer protection law, putting undue pressure on a customer to buy is an unfair practice.
✕Praise yourself or compareFor members of the Chiropractic Association (Singapore): no "best" or "leading", and no comparing yourself with other chiropractors or health professionals.
✕Message people who aren't patients out of the blueAlso for members: no unsolicited direct approach to a private person who isn't a patient, by phone, message or any other way.
Your clinic can
✓List your services for conditionsMOH suggests wording like "chiropractic service for back pain", or "supporting the management of" a condition.
✓Offer a package, with limitsFor members: up to 12 sessions, set out in a written policy, always with a per-visit option, and no disadvantage if the patient stops.
✓Explain what a first visit involvesHistory, assessment, and the risks and benefits of care. The association's code asks members to be open about both.
The law and the association are different things. Sections 31A and 31B apply to every chiropractor. The association's directives bind its members. We write for both, so you don't have to choose.

08 / FAQ

Questions chiropractic clinic owners ask

Can it answer "Is chiropractic safe?"

+

It answers what you'd say to anyone: what happens at the first visit and that your chiropractor assesses before treating. The question about their own neck or back goes to your chiropractor, with the full chat. That conversation is yours.

Can it quote the first visit and the X-ray?

+

Yes, from your price list. If you only X-ray when the assessment shows a need, it says that in your words. Patients get the full picture before they come in.

Will it push packages?

+

No. You decide what it offers. Most clinics have it give the per-visit price first. For association members, a package must come with a per-visit option anyway.

Can we message patients who stopped coming?

+

Yes, with Revived. It works only with your own patients and people who contacted you first, and you approve every message. The association's rule on unsolicited approaches is about people who aren't patients, so we don't message strangers.

Do the advertising rules apply to WhatsApp replies?

+

We treat every reply as if they do. So no "we treat scoliosis", no "best chiropractor", and "Dr" only with the qualification. Your own check has the final say.

Will patients think they're talking to a bot?

+

It writes in your clinic's tone and answers the real question. If someone asks, it says it's your clinic's booking assistant and offers to pass them to a person.

Does it answer the phone?

+

No. Booked. works in messages only: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and your website chat. Calls stay with your front desk.

We're a two-person clinic. Is it worth it?

+

That's where it helps most. You can't reply while your hands are on a patient. It replies, books and passes you only the chats that need you.

How fast can it be live?

+

Usually within a few days of the call. Most clinics are live inside a week.

What does it cost?

+

Booked. is S$997 a month, month to month. Message usage is on top, and we go through a typical month on the call. Clinics with a team of one to five can check if they qualify for a scholarship. Revived. is pay per appointment booked, with the rate agreed on the call.
